Project Scope – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Equipment Installation

To supply Contract Lift and Lift & Shift services to Glatt Protech (in Ireland) during the installation of a new pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment (a Fluid Bed Dryer) at a Dublin manufacturing company.

Installation Solution

Following an initial site inspection with Glatt Ireland’s Project Manager, JWI developed a comprehensive Method Statement, Risk Assessment and full Contract Lift documentation for submission to their client.

Using a 200t Mobile Crane the main Fluid Bed Dryer ‘Tower’ was lifted through a roof opening and lowered to the new lab area. Further construction of the Fluid Bed Dryer was completed using the 200t Crane.

Ancillary plant items were offloaded and positioned in the ground floor plant room using Forklift and Machinery Moving Skates. Ancillary Roof Plant was positioned using a 70t crane over a two day period including AHU, Police Filter, Silencers & ductwork.

Result and Client Benefits

JWI delivered this project, on-time and under budget working closely with all stakeholders to ensure the installation was a success, regardless of the inevitable issues that arise on a major building project on a tight build program.
