Complex Project

Our client requested our services to supply a contract lift to position 4no 11.5t WTP plantrooms at 36m radius to their final position on the plant gantry on their site near Heathrow. This required us to organise all the necessary permits from the airport and air traffic control, complying with their restrictions on jib height and getting their permission to work on a daily basis, as well as preparing all the lift plans and RAMS to BS7121 standards. The job was completed to the satisfaction of the customer on-time and on budget.

Another Successful Contract Lift Completed by JWI

Some interesting pictures of the deflection in the crane boom and of the tag line floating free during the contract lift on a recent JWI job at a food production plant.

The contract lift was planned by one of our Appointed Persons who was on site with the lift supervisor to make sure everything went smoothly.
After the lift was complete we moved the 51/2 tonne transformer and several switch panels through the building using a tirfor winch for additional traction into their final positions. All was successfully completed in the same day.

Another Project Where We Simplified Things for Our Client

img_1840

JWI was appointed to  carry out the complete move of four prefilters from Nailsworth in Gloucestershire to three separate sites in Sussex. We handled the whole move for the client, preparing the prefilters for safe transport using top-hat crates, loading and transporting them by HIAB, then carrying out a contact lift using a Tadano ATF50 crane at each site to offload the prefilters and position them as directed by the client before levelling and bolting them down. The client got full separate health and safety documentation covering our work at each site and a full contract lift service and had only ourselves to liaise with in relation to each aspect of the move.

What a successful project once again!
